Columbia GSAPP Masters (M.S.) in Historic Preservation Program includes heritage preservation, building protection, and conservation of the world’s architectural, cultural, and historical monuments. First US graduate program for historic preservation, located in New York City. Our dynamic Master of Science in Historic Preservation is an all-encompassing program covering the areas of restoration design, materials conservation, architectural history, and preservation planning, all while affording the flexibility to explore specific areas of interest through elective coursework in the field of heritage conservation.

SCAD emphasizes collaboration between departments through opportunities like the SCADpad® micro-housing project. SCADpad combined students from 12 different fields to reimagine the spaces in which we live. The project earned global media attention and the World Architecture News Urban Design Award for its innovations.
