Dell Mini 9 Os X Installer Download Pc

This is a guide for install Osx 10.9.3 on the Dell inspiron 15 3521 Model laptops. Warning To do this properly with as little error as possible you will need to format your hdd. This guide is for others with a laptop such as mine as well as a future reference for myself. This guide is my first attempt at such a thing and I will attempt to be as thorough and in-depth as possible. To start off, my laptop specs are as follow: CPU:Core i5 377u GPU:Intel HD-4000 Ram:8gb DDR3 1333 laptop memory

Requirments:

  • Two usb drives with one being at least 8gb or higher.

  • Niresh Mavericks for Intel and AMD

  • Dell inspiron 3521 Laptop

  • Compatible wifi card, either usb, or mini-pci.

  • A second pc, any os will do.

Install:

  1. Download and install win32 disk imager. Open win32 disk imager and look for disk. Click the view all files button in the lower right hand corner. Find the location of your Niresh mavericks download. Click it and choose you installation path to your 8gb or higher USB. It will warn you you might corrupt your USB. Click okay and move forward.

  2. Once the install is done go into the bios options of the dell laptop. This is done by pressing f2 at the boot logo. Once there set the sata mode to achi. Turn off laptop and turn back on. Press f12 and enter boot menu. Choose boot from usb. The chameleon boot options will now load. Choose the first option, it should say Niresh Installer. (If you have any issues booting type the folowing, -v, -x)

  3. Once booted before you install niresh go to disk utility, and format the hdd into mac osx journeled. If track pad or keybaord do not work use a USB keyboard and mouse to continue to process. Once that is done close disk utility, the newly formatted HDD will now show up and be available for Niresh install. Choose Customize, and choose the following boot options.

    Boot-loader(none), Graphics(IGPENabler=yes), Backup Graphics kexts (all),Install audio Driver(all), Install NetworkDrivers(all), Fakesmc(leave alone), ChipsetDriver(leave alone), Other Optimizations(leave alone)

  4. Install, the process will take about an hour. If you followed directions as exactly as i said you'll be able to boot into osx after some time.(no more than ten minutes.) Boot with -v just in case. Once booted set up your user account.

Post Install:

  1. Use Second Usb and download Multibeast. Install the latest chameleon Boot-loader and the any of the ps2/usb kexts. Do not install any audio kexts. The ones provided in niresh will work fine. Shut down and reboot. If you get a boot 0 error use the niresh usb to boot from your HDD. Use it and the second Usb to follow the instructions from this Link. It should fix your boot zero error.

  2. This step is to create a custom dsdt. If you have my cpu then this pre-edited dsdt. Place it in the /Extra folder of your hakcintosh. If you don't hace my cpu, than the we have to edit the dsdt in order for you to get full resolution and graphics acceleration. Download maciasl, also download Rehabmans' laptop dsdt patch repo. Extract both to your desktop.

  3. Launch Maciasl. Go to prefrences, iASL and choose ACPI 5.0. Close prefrences. Click compile and fix any errors that appear. Common errors can be easily fix with a quick google search. Once you no longer have any compile errors browse to the extracted rehab man repo you have placed on your desk top. Apply the following fixes from the following folders. These two will enable full resolution and graphics accelaration, and brightness controll.

Graphics>DSDT hd4k low, graphics_plnf.kext.

  1. Now to save the dsdt.aml. Go to file>save as> Save as 'DSDT.aml' without quotation marks, in the ACPI Machine Language Binary file format. Save it in your /Extras folder. Reboot with -v to see if theres no kernel panics at boot. If theres not move on. If graphics are still not full resolution, or graphics acceleration still no longer work boot with this boot flag

( IntelCapriFB (match with Apple kext name for that hardware) ex: IntelCapriFB=a_value from 0 to 11) for ivy bridge

  1. The next step is to get native power management. The first step is the install the appleintelcpupowermanagement.kext from multibeast. If you have my cpu set your system definition in multibeast as mackbook air 5,2. Then download this SSDT and place it in your /Extensions folder. Then add the following flags to org.chameleon.boot.plist.- set (GenerateCStates=No,- set GeneratePStates=No, - add DropSSDT=Yes) If you do not have my cpu than follow this link to get your native cpu power management working.

  2. Reopen Multibeast. Re-install the fakesmc kext as well as all plugins to verify that native cpu power management is working.

  1. Sleep is not working for me. It might be my usb wifi adapter is holding sleep from occurring. I have ordered this Broadcom BCM94322HM8l Mini PCI wireless card that has native osx support. Hopefully it will fix my sleep issues.
